Hey there fellow writers! I'm up early as tomorrow is crazy for me so I'm all posted. I'll be back on the weekend to check you all out! (Well, my weekend starts tomorrow, Thursday. I guess some of you are still early in the week, lol!)
Hello Denise. It's only Wednesday here & I'm still writing mine, but I've given this week's challenge a plug on Facebook & Google+. I'll be back again to post/read. Have a great weekend!
I'm so happy you got threaded comments back...feels like we're actually having a face-to face conversation (smile). Just linked my entry in. Off to bed now...it's 1:00am...way past my bedtime. Have to dream on the next challenge (LOL). Looking forward to reading yours tomorrow.
Mine's up! It's Friday and I've got a cold, cough and sore throat. Winter has finally arrived here, just when I started looking forward to spring! Best wishes, Anna
My post is a bit gritty for our normal writing. I will not be offended if you choose not to read.
Denise; I've been looking at The 9.5 and I can't figure out what could possibly be written for that one. Could you explain it just a little for my befuddled brain?
When I first started to think about the 9.5 all I could think of was Bo Derek rising out of the sea with her dreadlocks dangling around her perfect 10 shoulders, but...
Since then I've seen so many other possibilities - a singing or dancing competition, an alpha male who rates every woman on the 1-10 scale (they do exist!) and is perturbed when he meets an alpha female who does the same and only gave him a 9.5 - what??
I see this prompt as one to have some fun with. I'll let you in on my take - I'm considering a dance competition but really there are lots of ways to manipulate this.
Hi guys - just wanted to say that I just read the 'Tales From the Rhoen' story which was absolutely riveting... but there's no button to comment on it as far as I can see, and because the way my computer is set up, I have no way to email her to let her know in case it's an oversite... could someone possibly get hold of her and give her the heads up... Lx
Weissdorn your excerpt was an intriguing read. I'm interested to learn if it is the grapes causing the halucination, or the the witch, or a combination of both.
PS: your name is much more unique than Mary Sue to the bazillionth degree :)
Hello Everyone. I'm making my reading rounds & have just finished tasting that potent wine from Tales from the Rhon, but like the others, there's no way to comment. :-(
Sensual, intoxicating & vivid excerpt. Very enjoyable read Weissdorn!
Hi all. Yes, I know what you mean about Weissdorn's no comment system. You can find her email on her website. I have sent her an email through Google+ and have asked her to come here and read her comments and tell us how to comment on her post! It was good wasn't it?
I posted last Friday my story and then I lost the internet before I could let you all know. Also the link thing isn't working for me. So if I'm too late that's okay. I'll be by each of yours throughout the week. Nancy
I'm very sorry for unacceptable condition of my blog. I have been having my trials of late with Blogger because I was absent during the autumn, when Blogger came into the hands of Google. A number of blogs were lost forever, and I only found out 2 days ago that no one could comment on my blog, although the setting was set for moderated comments (And I worried I might have bad breath!). In the meantime I have set the blog to an "everybody & anybody free-for-all". It's been tested by friend and foe, so now I welcome anyone to praise or lambaste me as you will.
Dear Denise and other RFWers, I know it's silly of me to do this after everyone already has read my post, but I have rewitten it slightly, the first paragraph, the first sentence.
I wanted to correct a typo that I had happened to see very late in the 'P.S.'-text, and decided to make the opening scene a little clearer.
I know that Denise has already read my text for a second time. Do what you want Denise, the content is the same. You don't have to read it again, if you don't have the time.
I have no idea what to write for the next challenge about 9.5! Not a clue! I may just have to sit this one out. The tax people want me to write about my little company's income for the past two years, and I still have this silly paper for the university to deal with.
But I'll be checking in. I'm not quitting even if I don't write this one challenge. (Or maybe I'll think of something!)
Hi Anna. I've put a little extra prompt on the Challenge page. Maybe it'll help you get going. It'd be hard to imagine a RFWer without you in it! Many of us are struggling with this one, but I'm sure we'll come up with something. May not be our proudest writerly moment but don't we just love a challenge?

Hi Denise,
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone.
Mine's up. I'll be doing my blog rounds soon. Like Donna, I'd like a bit more on the 9.5, please.

I read Tales from the Rhone's excerpt but couldn't comment on it. It was an enjoyable read though.

I enjoyed the Tales from the Rhon post very much but couldn't find the comments button. Very intriguing story.

Nancy I have posted your link. Tell everyone you have a late entry and explain why and I will do the same. I hope most people get around to read.

Dear Members of Romantic Friday Writers,
