If you just toss something together and post it and waggle your tongue at us all and say "well, its a post" I'm happy to read what you wrote. But not every prompt grabs every writer. Don't feel obligated to post anything; but do feel free to post `whatever`.
DeleteDenise and I want our contributors to have fun writing; even if it doesn't entirely meet word count or theme. Whatever you develop when you sit down to write to the prompt is "good enough" for us to read, no matter where it lead you. Hopefully the prompt inspired something so involved you got to writing and forgot where the idea got its spark and that there was a word limit.
Perfection is NOT a requirement. Posting is NOT a requirement. ENJOYING the writing experience and being satisfied - even if you don't post - IS ESSENTIAL.
Please don't stress over whether or not to miss this post, or if the writing is "good". Go write, my dear friend.

Thanks for writing this Donna. I really like this prompt. It actually inspired several stories. The problem is that my birthday stories are not very romantic.
DeleteMy first story was ok, but there is not the teensiest bit of romance in it.
I ended up writing and posting another prequel to my story about Jenny & Co.
Well, I've at least posted something.

DeleteI'm sorry that I have to back down from this challenge. My mother is currently in ccu right now. Hopefully, she'll move to a regular room today if all goes well. Fingers crossed!
